Canberra will look to close out the year on a high when they face the struggling Townsville Fire at home. The Capitals are winners of nine straight games and after demolitions of Adelaide and the AIS in recent weeks once more come up against a lowly ranked opponent in the Fire, who will be coming off a trip to Bendigo two nights prior.
The Fire are coming into Round 11 on the back of a heavy loss to the Bulleen Boomers and will be eager for this tough two-game road trip to end, so they can regroup over the break.
These two sides have met twice thus far in season 2010/11, both victories going to the Capitals in Round 3 and Round 5. There appears little chance of the trend changing particularly with the form of Capitals veteran Jess Bibby who was red hot from the field last round connecting on nine of 15 three point attempts, finishing with 38 points.
