WNBL 2010-2011 – Round 15 – AIS Vs Bulleen

Two weeks ago, you’d say that this was just going to be another comfortable win for Bulleen, who dominated the AIS by 56 points the last time they met.

Bu two weeks is a long time in the world of Aussie hoops, and the AIS are coming off a pair of big wins, against Sydney Uni and West Coast and they have a new-found belief in themselves.

The Bulleen machine is a very different beast and it’ll take a valiant effort if they are to cause one of the upsets of the season.

First things first: finding a stopper for Cambage. With so much height going up against so much youth — although Cambage is no veteran — the Institute will certainly have their work cut out for them to put the clamps on the Aussie centre.

But Bulleen’s strength goes much deeper than Cambage, with O’Hea, Penaluna, Jarry and Milner all proving to be ready for a big finals assault in a little over a month’s time.

For the AIS, Rebecca Cole and Rebecca Allen have both been impressive recently, as has Olivia Thompson and Madeleine Garrick.

The Institute have shot the lights out in their two wins: can they keep that percentage up this week?
