WNBL 2010-2011 – Round 15 – Canberra Vs Bulleen

It is the contest that we’ve all been waiting for, and there’s so much at stake. The winner will have the inside track for top spot on the WNBL ladder, and home-court advantage in the first semi.

Tom Maher said this week that the key for Bulleen is managing Tolo — for the Capitals it would almost be the reverse, with the result resting on whether Tolo and Batkovic can manage Cambage in the paint.

But summing up this contest at this spot on the floor would be selling the game short. Jenna O’Hea and Rachel Jarry have been incredibly impressive of late, but so have Michelle Cosier and Jessica Bibby. Elyse Penaluna has the potential to be a game winner, and so does Carly Wilson.

Both teams are deep and both teams have a number of role players who can step up and get the job done.

All that being considered, the game should be an absolute classic — an indication of what to expect when finals get underway.
