After their clash with the AIS, the Thunder face a big test against the Capitals. Canberra dropped to Bulleen last week – the effects of this would no doubt have been dealt with on the training track this week, and the result is likely to be a charged-up Capitals side looking for a win.
For the Thunder, losses at this point are going to be tough to swallow should they be interested in some finals ball. The bad news is, having lost to Townsville last week, they now face Canberra in Round 16 and 17 and they won’t want to lose both of those games.
They can only get one this week, and Kristen Veal, Renae Camino, Emma Randall and Sarah Graham hold the keys to that result. They have combined well and got the job done for the Thunder all season, but against a team like the Capitals, they are all going to need to contribute in a big way, and they are going to need to shoot well from the floor.
Logan have beaten the Capitals this season, by a point at home back in October. But a lot has happened since then, and behind Batkovic, Tolo and Bibby, the Capitals will be tough to contain.
