Tom Howard left Australia to return to England after seven year at Speedcafe.com at the top of his game having just won the Supercars Media Awards Journalist of the year for the 2nd time, at the beginning of 2020 just as the UK entered into lockdown. He discusses how he had to reinvent himself to restart his career and how he turned the British Touring Car Championship social media coverage on its ear. He also talks about how the BTCC survived the 2020 through the COVID-19 pandemic and how the sport is able to operate with minimal staff and costs compared to Supercars.
