WNBL 2010-2011 – Round 16 – AIS Vs Logan<\/a><\/p>\n

The plot thickens for Logan, as they head to the Nation\u2019s capital for two games, which is proving to be a bogie weekend for sides \u2013 unless you play for Bulleen that is, one of the only teams to get out of there with two wins.
\nLast week the Thunder were sitting pretty in third spot \u2013 a pair of losses could see them drop out of the top five, should Dandenong pick up a couple of wins this week.
\nNeedless to say, their Friday night match-up with the AIS is critical to getting the weekend off to a good start. The Institute were annihilated last Sunday by 58 against the Boomers after some good performances. Despite this, head coach Phil Brown was optimistic:
\n\u201c[It was a] tough game against Bulleen, particularly for all our players coming off the Gems Training camp,\u201d he said. \u201cI thought, despite having only eight players, we battled hard against a very good basketball team.
\n\u201cHopefully we can freshen up this week leading into the Logan game Friday. We have been practising and playing pretty well and if we can play close to our best we could be a chance for a win against Logan.\u201d <\/p>\n

Logan head coach Olaf Lange was disappointed with his side\u2019s loss to Townsville. \u201cWe’re in the final stretch now and tonight was a critical game, but the way we’re playing right now, it makes it hard for us to make it,\u201d Lange told the Reporter Newspaper. <\/p>\n

With two games coming up against the Capitals, Logan must win this game to feel better about their chances against the League\u2019s second side heading into the finals. It\u2019s a critical match-up that will be on display on ABC 1 for the nation to see.
\n\u201cI still have faith in the team, but we need to play much smarter and much tougher…\u201d said Lange. <\/p>\n
